The game promised to return to a much grander scale, but a lot of the combat seemed frantic and unfocused. What I saw of the closed doors gameplay trailer was slightly concerning. For me, this was like Christ returning to lead us to the strategy game promised land. I have about 1000+ combined hours in the franchise, with a lion’s share of those in Dawn of War 2. In however many years, we might see the same thing happen with Indian-inspired stories as the Indian market becomes more developed and advanced.I got a chance to talk to the devs at E3 after the announcement, and the nerd in me could hardly be contained. The first is a loss of artistic integrity, the second is the expansion of creativity to make new products that supply growing demand from a major part of the world.

Hollywood trying to pass the censors of the Communist Party with movie edits is not the same as making something that's about Chinese culture. Not to mention the Star Wars movies were edited to have more appeal in that market because fuck artistic integrity when all you're after is money. China is a market of 1.4 billion people, and the population has gotten significantly richer over the past twenty years. You don't even need to be cynical? It's a reflection of how demand works. Maybe I'm just too cynical but it seems more and more companies have noticed what a huge market China can be and are aiming to exploit it. Golems can just be from the titan works left behind by the fire mage Aglorexi empire that built country destroying war-machines. And a fun juxtaposition is despite the magic frost it's harbor is guarded by a endless magic inferno that keeps pirates and sea monsters at bay so you can have ice and fire themed soldiers either in grizzly furs or shining gold.įor Cathay the flying ship markets of Bataar would match well., just knock the lanterns off the ships unless you think it fits the fire realm theme better. It's part of the continent is frozen over by Alarielle leaving her crystallized sadness there causing the hungry woods to be overrun by frost Sylvaneth while the prosperous Realmgate trade has allowed the soldiery to have golden armor which they cover with furs and bear caps. Izalend would offer a lot of extra aesthetics as a magic city and major trade hub north of Excelsis.
